Lead CAD/CAM Solidworks CNC Programmer 2-2.5D - HAAS CNC Operator

Job Starts at $15.00 - $18.00 (Based on Experience). Hours are based on scheduled availability.

Job Requirements:
Minimum 1-3 Years of CAM Programming Experience
Minimum 1 Year of Solidworks CAD Experience
High School Diploma (Associates or Bachelors Preferred)
Able to work at least 30 hours a week


As a lead worker, also known as a team leader, you will provide leadership and instruction so others in the group can complete tasks quickly and effectively. You will help serve as a guide to answer questions, offer insight and organize responsibilities. Most importantly, you will: set a positive example for those working with you, follow company policies, and ensure team members adhere to all standards and guidelines.

You will be one of the links between team members and upper management. You will also often serve as the go-between for clients and team members. You will maintain progress reports, evaluate team members' performances and discuss project goals, accomplishments and shortcomings with management.

You will set an example by staying current on industry trends, informing team members of new policies or procedures and displaying integrity. You must stay within budget limitations, avoid gossip and provide suggestions for improvement. You must be knowledgeable, kind, fair and firm, so subordinates respect their judgment and role.


The ideal candidate for this position:
• Knowledgeable about CAD/CAM and Machine Operation
• Willing to grow their CAD/CAM skills on their own time outside of work
• Proven experience in Machine Operation
• Experience using a variety of mechanical equipment
• Experience in using power or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Deftness and attention to detail
• Proficient in English


Description of Responsibilities:
• Verify CAD/CAM and QC parts as they are produced.
• Load and machine parts to completion.
• Assist in making new or adjusting existing diagrams/drawings.
• Assist in tool and hardware up-keep and order requests
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
